Using mobile phones to snap pictures has become an important part of our daily lives and is especially ubiquitous while traveling (been there, done that!). Observations in museums reveal that many people today only spend a very short amount of time with a given piece of art and rather snap a picture of it to share with friends than engage with the piece itself more in-depth. An exhibition space initially intended for people to appreciate art is thus sometimes extended into a space for taking and sharing photos and connecting with the online-world. This reveals a lot about our relationship with art, how we experience it today and provides interesting food for thought on the topic. And last but not least is this of course an ambiguous project with the photographer using an art gallery to make photos of visitors disregarding the art objects...
